Yearning

Home is where the heart is

Why yes, I guess that’s true

That’s why my house is empty

You took my heart with you

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Would you like to visit
Bring my heart back to me
We can sit and chat awhile
Til I remember how to breathe
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You don’t have to come in

You can leave it at the door

I don’t mind that you borrowed it

But I need my heart to love some more

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s really very fragile
It’s been broken a time or two
So please return with care
As it no longer belongs to you
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(Still re-posting old stuff, grin.)

    Very true. Once the person you love leaves, it is hard to regain the home. Very well said.

    It is unfortunate when our love has be held hostage instead of appreciated by the other.

    Sometimes they forget to return it… It takes long to grow a new one.
