Expert Gardener

yellow-red-rose paul

It is in the colors of the petals

He sees her spirit

How it has flourished with his care

It is in the thorns

He knows her soul

How it has endured struggle and pain

It is in the texture of the petals

He knows her heart

How it has longed to be touched gently

An expert gardener

He chooses a flower

That requires work

Time and Patience

To create beauty

The Rose

His flower of choice

Beautiful photo courtesy of Paul: Thank you!

What a beautiful tribute to the rose and the one who inspired it but especially to the one taking such care to nurture such a thing of beauty and fragility.

Belinda, I think we share a very similar view of how roses connect us to the beauty of life and to one’s special love. Here are a few links on Hyperion Sturm that may be of interest.,,,,,, It’s a lot to take in but the metaphor of flowers and a garden for life and love is the central theme of all of these. I hope you enjoy them. And thank you for allowing me to share them.
