I heard it when it broke – the heart

Louder than an iceberg.

Falling into the ocean.

Covering my ears – to unhear words

Didn’t stop the vibrations.

I still felt the tremor.

Swimming for dear life – drowning in disbelief

One does not resist the current.

Survival equates working with the tide.

Safely on shore – healing

The view is so beautiful – life

Birds sing – hope

And in the water’s reflection – soul

I see myself Β – survivor

Gazing at the overturned iceberg – change

I remember spring follows – renewal

Though there is power in the icebergΒ

It will thaw and melt

But I’ll still be here

(Just for fun today I wrote something not so romantic. Grin)

I’m glad the iceberg and collapse were only literary ones. πŸ™‚
